University of Florida Sigma Chi Derby Days
We are very excited to announce that thanks to all of the amazing support from our families, friends, alumni and fellow members of the Greek Community that we were able to raise over $31,000 for the Children's Miracle Network at Shands. This weekend we had the hat hunt on Friday afternoon and our Family Dinner at the Paramount Plaza Friday Evening. Saturday was our annual Derby Days line dance competition. We announced the winner- Kappa Delta at midnight at the Swamp Restaurant. Zeta Tau Alpha came in second place overall and Delta Delta Delta placed third. We were really blown away by all of the support we had and we look forward to Derby Days next year! Also check out the Independent Florida Alligators coverage of the event here.

Also we are in the process of organizing an event on a gameday to celebrate the great 85 years our chapter has had at the University of Florida. UF Gamma Theta Sigma Chi
This summer several brothers will be on campus at the University of Florida taking leadership roles ranging from Gator Growl to Traffic Court. Many of the graduating seniors are attending graduate school at UF. David Myers (Fall 2007 Magister) of Tampa, FL recently was hired by Ernst and Young and will be going to graduate school at the University of Virginia. We are very proud of our graduating brothers and look forward to hearing about their endeavors after UF. If you know of a freshmen or transfer student coming to UF, please email our rush chair Ronnie Poole at rpoole94@ufl.edu. The Gamma Theta chapter looks forward to meeting even more alumni in the fall. It is the 85th year that Sigma Chi has been at the University of Florida, and we are looking forward to learning even more about the great history of our chapter.
