This summer several brothers will be on campus at the University of Florida taking leadership roles ranging from Gator Growl to Traffic Court. Many of the graduating seniors are attending graduate school at UF. David Myers (Fall 2007 Magister) of Tampa, FL recently was hired by Ernst and Young and will be going to graduate school at the University of Virginia. We are very proud of our graduating brothers and look forward to hearing about their endeavors after UF. If you know of a freshmen or transfer student coming to UF, please email our rush chair Ronnie Poole at rpoole94@ufl.edu. The Gamma Theta chapter looks forward to meeting even more alumni in the fall. It is the 85th year that Sigma Chi has been at the University of Florida, and we are looking forward to learning even more about the great history of our chapter.

Sigma Chi Alumni Luncheon
This past week the Gamma Theta Chapter of Sigma Chi had the privilege to be invited to Orlando for a Luncheon with Gamma Theta Alumni from the Central Florida Area. Our consul Phil Erwin and Andrew Starling attended the event and we are very excited to continue growing our relations with the alumni chapter in Orlando. Finals are next week and we are finishing up the semester on a great note. Today about forty brothers went to Ginnie Springs for our annual Crawfish date function. For alumni that know any freshmen that will be coming to UF next fall please contact our Rush chair at sigmachigator@gmail.com

Sigma Chi Gamma Theta University of Florida Alumni
This past weekend we had our Alumni BBQ at the house before the University of Florida's Orange and Blue spring football game. Brothers from Fall 58 to Fall 2000 attended. It was a great event for the spring semester and we are very excited about having another event in the fall for the 85th anniversary of the Gamma Theta Chapter of Sigma Chi. We will be sending out letters over the summer announcing the date for the event.

UF Gamma Theta Chapter of Sigma Chi
Next week the President of the University of Florida, Bernie Machen will be attending dinner at the Sigma Chi house. Machen is a Sigma Chi from Vanderbilt University. There are only three more weeks left for the semester. It has been a great year for the Gamma Theta chapter of Sigma Chi, our brothers accomplished many great things this year at the University of Florida. Currently the IFC president for the University of Florida is Sigma Chi Clay Mathews, from Tampa. Our brothers also took leadership on campus in other areas of campus such as Supervisor of Elections, Chief Traffic Court Justice, and the Finance chair for Dance Marathon. We are currently working on having a more permanent website for our chapter. Once the new site is up and running I will post a link for it and begin blogging on the new Gamma Theta website.
